I had this before . Just install McAfee

and go in search , type in Mcafee and delete remaining files that may be still there.

Then reinstall it. It happened to one of my students and this fixed his ..same problem.

you shouldn't have the same problem after you reinstall it. OH !! clean up your disc ..disc cleanup , defrag etc before reinstalling it so it will run smoother.

if your still having problems you can contact me thru my profile.

also if you print this out you'll get to know mcafee's program better.

Hi, McAfee released an update on the 30th of July which caused these problems the only way to resolve this issue is to do a complete reinstall of McAfee on your computer ( if you contact technical support they will tell you the same) This is the Site you need that will fix your problem https://us.mcafee.com/root/fix.html
go to where u bought this computer. They will help u fix the problem. It should be contacting Mcafee automatically at least once a day to get updated.
Mcafee releases new virus definitions just about everyday so it appears that your PC is not getting updates from the Mcafee servers. It should be contacting Mcafee automatically at least once a day to get updated. Mcafee has multiple corporate and home user versions so the specifics of what you should check will depend on what version of their product you have.
Hi,

Please do this just download a free copy of AVG Anti-Virus and dump Mccafee it's rubbish, AVG is free and comes with free Updates as well. This will help you.
Have you made sure that you have registered it for updates.

also, you need to make sure everything has been configured
Full System Scan is mandatory now every 15 days.

Open the security center and you will see a button on the top right which will say ''Fix it'' Click the button and Mcafee will fix the problem.

Good Luck!
