You may want to try these freeware programs that have and currently are working well for me.

Antivirus : Avira antivir

Spyware : Spywareterminator

Browser : Avant

Google them for your own research.

Install them and you shouldn't have anymore problems. Good Luck!!

The key to this question is your description of the infection as ''blah blah blah''. There is no such Trojan blah blah blah. There are hundreds of thousands of different trojans. And almost as many different removal tools and procedures.

The actual name of the trojan is critical.

Does my computer have a virus?

I have a security program on my computer but since yesterday, I've been getting pop-ups every two minutes telling me to download stuff because my computer is at risk from a virus. I know it's fake because it's linked to advertising websites. Also, every hour or so, sites with links for porn pop up. I can still visit websites though--sometimes I'll just be directed to other porn/fake security websites. Once, I was checking my email and the same pop up came up about 100 times without stopping. I couldn't even click anything and I had to shut it down. I've scanned my computer for viruses and I've gotten no results indicating I have one.

What's up and what can I do?

Is that scam advertising trying to sell you, one (or more) of these useless products? Don't buy anything that it is advertising It's a scam! If it is one of these, then it is likely an infection called Smitfraud that is causing the phony warnings. It is scam advertising trying to swindle you. And a link to a free removal tool is down at the bottom.

What the best security program(antivirus,antispyware,... security), etc ?

what the best security program(antivirus, antispyware, internet security), etc for your computer ?

What the best security program(antivirus,antispyware,... security), etc ?abtuvurys 2005

I have the full McAfee Security Center,, except spam protection. I don't open fishy, or phishy stuff anyway. It has automatic updates, renewal notices, etc. I like it. I've had it for several yrs. now.

What the best security program(antivirus,antispyware,... security), etc ?antivirus programs

as antivirus use ESET NOD32 witch is far best then stupid nortoan antivirus and a good firewall like..... KERIO PERSONAL FIREWALL

if u failed finding them i have both programs fully cracked :D :D
im using Kaspersky Internet Suite! As far as im concerned, I never had any problems using that proggy!....
Mac Os X. Linux/Unix.

100% antiviral/malware guarantee.

iff'n y'all hafta use thet thar winders fer sumthin,

windows 2000, symantec antivirus CORPORATE (NOT norton OR mcafee), and ad-aware SE pro(pay-its worth it). use firefox, mozilla, or opera for browser. do NOT use idiot explorer.

and _dont_ run as administrator.

re: person who said no diff between norton and symantec.. there is a big difference. symantec has no mandatory yearly subscription fee, is not nearly as big a resource hog, and has a more adult/non-kiddie ui with more optimization capability. ts the difference between win 2000 and expee home edition. one is geared for people who dont understand the finer details of AV tweaking, and want a kyoote eweser interface that color coordinates with the default luna UI of expee, and the other is for someone who doesnt want the comfortable frendly ui and just wants protection.

Norton Internet security 2007 firewall blocks wireless network?

When the firewall is turned on (on my notebook) I cannot connect to my network. As soon as I turn off the firewall, it connects. I have norton internet security 2007 on both computers and they are configured with the IP addresses as a ''trusted'' computer in the Norton settings. Norton support could not help, they suggested reloading but still no good. I know there is someone out there that can fix this problem. Please help.

Here's the complete thread of how I got my Vista laptop to network with my WinXP pcs via a wireless home network. See the section below on Norton Internet Security.

Windows Networking 鈥?Vista and WinXP

Ok. First take a deep breath and gather your patience. I wrote-up the below thread after my recent experience in networking a new Vista laptop with two existing WinXP machines. It wasn't quick but it did work, eventually. Try some of these steps:

1) Firewall settings - one of the biggest hassles. To get started I suggest you FIRST disconnect your network from the internet (for your protection), then disable ALL firewalls (including Windows firewall) on ALL machines, and then work to get your home network operating internally. What I learned on my home network is below.

1.1) My WinXP machines have ZoneAlarm and I needed to ensure that all machines on the network were in the trusted zone. Go to the Zone tab of Firewall settings in ZoneAlarm free version. Ensure all of your machines鈥?IP addresses are listed, as well as that of your router or wireless access point.

  • Firewall and Norton Internet Security?

I've had my computer for nearly 10 months now and only just found out that my firewall has been disabled. I have nortons internet security installed on my computer too. However, I have just turned my firewall back on but I got a message come up from the nortons program saying that the fireall has been enabled...do you want to continue with it on or use norton internet security (recommended). Does this mean that the 2 programs do not work together and you can only have one or the other working at one time? Please help me!!!

Windows firewall is too much trouble, its better you disable it and enable Norton Internet Security as it does th job of Windows firewall as well as detect any unwanted spyware/ intrusions.

Norton Firewall Was already turned on, and you just enabled windows firewall. You need to turn off Windows Firewall.
both programs are not going to work togetther better keep only norton
I think you also have a firewall feature in Norton. You have a choice; either you can turn on windows standard fire wall or Norton. It is recommended to use Norton Firewall. Hopefully you are updating Norton with latest patches online to prevent your PC from latest viruses.
yes..the 2 programs dont cooperate...turn off windows firewall..it isnt worth anything..i got a trojan even when i had the damn firewall...my antivirus saved me and from them im using Norton internet security..
Only have one antivirus program and one firewall installed on your computer. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav...

    PC Running Slow, Hangs, Freezes:

    - Many users are not aware of how much RAM is used by wallpaper and/or a screensaver full of graphics. They run in the background and consume memory. (I have only 512mb RAM, run multiple programs simultaneously, and have set my wallpaper and screensaver to blank.)

    - How many programs do you load at startup? Maybe you should check it out and ensure you are running just what you need.

To do this: cl Start, cl Settings, cl Taskbar and Start Menu.

    - cl Start Menu, cl Customize, cl Remove.

    - cl the icon for the program you wish to remove

    - then cl Remove.

    - This will prevent the program from loading at startup, but will not remove the program from the hard disk.

    - When you are working in a large file, save frequently to restore full memory access. (Your work remains in memory until you 鈥渟ave鈥?it to disk.)
